FAQ

Is my password sent to a server?

No. All analysis happens entirely in your browser. Your password is never transmitted anywhere.

What is entropy?

Entropy measures the amount of information in your password, expressed in bits. The higher the value, the more attempts an attacker needs to crack it. 60+ bits is generally recommended.

How is the estimated crack time calculated?

It assumes a modern GPU cluster performing 10 billion guesses per second and estimates the average time to exhaust half the possible combinations. Use it as a relative guide, not an absolute guarantee.

How are common password warnings detected?

The tool checks whether well-known weak patterns (password, qwerty, 123456, etc.) appear anywhere in your input.
